Well, I enjoyed my few days off last week! We headed up to Peterborough on the Wednesday so Scott could play in Men's Night. On Thursday, I had a game with Beth Miller for the Business Girls - we had a great time as it was just the two of us, no rushing, no waiting!! And I had a great game, shooting a 96 - which also dropped my handicap to a 26!! I had dinner at the club with the rest of the ladies - although I was not impressed with my chicken pasta - in fact, it sucked! However, the night ended with me winning one of the bottles of Argentinian wine!
On Friday morning, after a few last minute stops, we headed up to Drew's cottage on Mink Lake - about a 2 hour drive from Peterborough. My first visit all year since New Year's eve!! Drew had his new favourite charcoal bbq heated up and waiting to cook up the marinated ribs we brought up. Mmmm...the ribs were fantastic - Drew did an excellent job! So we had a feast of bbq ribs, corn, garlic mashed potatoes and home baked bread!! We had a great time at the cottage - swimming, tubing, fishing...
We left on Saturday night after dinner. On the way out back to the highway, we came upon 2 fawns along the side of the road. Of course we were paranoid of hitting them since they couldn't decide if they were going to cross the road or not!! After a few minutes of stopping and going, and them darting out onto the road and then back to the side, we finally made it passed them!
