Bass Opener

It was bass opener this past weekend. Scott, Ginger and I headed up to Mink Lake to visit with the Hollingsworths. Drew had the boys this weekend so I was going to get in some kiddie time with them! We drove up on Friday afternoon, after a few pit stops along the way for beer, groceries, fishing gear... As usual, a very beautiful drive up north. There were lots of visitors at Mink Lake - Anne, her kids and their friends were at the Main cottage. Doris had two of her girlfriends - Anne and Donna at the Bay. And Drew, the twins, Scott, Ginger and I were at the Point!

We took William and James out fishing - first on the dock, then out in the boat. They caught a few off of the dock - they were pretty excited - but I'm not sure they totally understood it. They big boys didn't really get to go out and fish - although Scott did take Drew's nephew and his friend (Ian and Mackenzie) out for a tour. And....Ian caught a big small mouth bass - his first big fish ever!! Scott was very happy and excited for him! And Ian wanted to keep it - so in it came and we took a bunch of photos. Unfortunately, it took 3 whacks to bonk the fish out of his misery! Poor Mr. Smallmouth!

We had a great feast of salmon and steak and Doris' delicious pies on Saturday night. It was a great relaxing weekend at Mink Lake.

A long time....

It's been a long time since my last post - almost a month!!! May was a very busy time for me - with the Anti-Calendar production at work. But it is at the printers now and should arrive at the end of this week!!! I can't believe that it is already June 11th - Kelly's birthday - Happy Birthday Kelly!!! Have fun in Paris!

This past weekend we were in the Muskoka's at a friend's cottage. However, because of the storm, we were without power all Friday night - and it finally came back on around 10:30 a.m. Saturday morning!! Thankfully so - otherwise, we would have had to pack up and leave!! It turned out to be a fantastic weekend with some great friends!! Thanks Susan, Scott and Daisy!
