UofT Cuts for Cancer
Well, on March 6th, I'm getting a hair cut!! I'm donating 10 inches of my hair to Cuts for Cancer. "Hair is being donated to Angel Hair for Kids and Locks of Love, non-profit organizations that collect hair donations and supply wigs for children in need. The wigs are used for children who suffer from long-term medical hair loss, particularly those with the autoimmune disease Alopecia areata, for which there is no known cause or cure. About 15 ponytails are used to make one wig, which has a market value of $3000 (US). The prostheses help to restore self-esteem and confidence, enabling children to face the world and their peers."
I am collecting pledges if anyone wants to donate - you can do it online or personally with myself. Thanks!
